Established in 1711 and overseen by Trustees, Ravenstone Almhouses offers private self-catering housing for 25 women in a picturesque location
About Us
We are a beautiful heritage environment offering lower cost accommodation to single ladies.
Priority for accommodation is given to residents of Ravenstone, Swannington, Ibstock, Coalville, Coleorton surounding towns and villages but others are welcome to apply.
Our accommodation provides independant living to residents supported by their families and friends.
A warden is resident on site who provides neighbourly assistance and attends to day-to-day property maintenance issues.
We have an historic Christian based Chapel for resident and community meetings.

Our Location
Ravenstone Court lies within a historic conservation zone at the centre of the quiet village of Ravenstone.

Our Accomodation
Our apartments are warm and cosy.
Each one has a living room, galley kitchen, double bedroom with separate shower room.
Upstairs apartments share a communal hall way between two apartments, and many come with their own separate internal storage room / store.

Our Environment
In the heart of the National forest on the doorstep of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Wood. We have amazing countryside walks, ancient bluebell and new woodlands emerging rich in fauna and wildlife.

Our Trustees & Staff
We thrive by the generous donation of skills, time and resources from our Trustees and volunteers who are all unpaid.
We also have an onsite Warden and a Clerk of Works who looks after the day-to-day running of the Charity and its buildings.
