Pastoral Care
The pastoral care team in our charity supports the emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of staff, volunteers, and residents. They offer a safe space to talk, provide crisis support, and ensure people feel valued and cared for during difficult times.
Our Brief
-
Listening Support: Offer confidential, non-judgmental listening and a safe place to share personal struggles.
-
Emotional Care: Help people cope with stress, grief, burnout, or major life changes.
-
Signposting: Connect individuals to professional counseling, mental health services, or external agencies when needed.
-
Crisis Response: Provide immediate comfort and presence during personal or organisational emergencies.
-
Team Morale: Promote a culture of empathy, kindness, and mutual support across the residents and Charity.
-
We hold 3 to 4 open meetings a year at the Almshouse with refreshments for our residents to join us for a chat and a cuppa.
